Maturity Level and Motor Coordination Performance of Teenage Badminton Players in Malaysia

The purpose of this study was to determine the level maturity and motor coordination performance teenage badminton players in Malaysia. Researchers conducted cross-sectional study, which involved 102 samples (male=53, female=49) divided into four age groups (13 years, 14 15 years). researcher used a purposive sampling method where selected sample consisted top from all over player's is determined by proposed (Khamis Roche) predict adult height using their mother father. There are six tests namely KTK 'balance beam', 'eye-hand coordination' (EHC), 'jumping sideways' (JS), 'shifting platform' (SP), 'shuttlecock throw' ( ST) "plate tapping (PT). findings explain pattern increasing levels among male female with age. peak detected at for boys rate 98.9% or 2.34 cm difference between mean current predicted height, while 97.79 % 3.83 cm. Overall, does not have significant difference. test "shifting platform" decrease as increased. Male were found decline 26 repetitions 13 30 repetitions. that changes occurred different ages players. In conclusion, researchers suggest management coaches consider players' player selection process. Coaches encouraged include elements process designing training programs. Motor seen important can be trained improve game performance.
